Multi-Crew Pilot Licence.

No, the program is a newly established training.

What is the difference between ATPL and MPL?

The standard ATPL program is conducted by any trainee step by step (PPL/CPL(IR)/ATPL/MCC) while a MPL program is completed with only one final exam and contains at the end of the course a type rating on B737 or A320.
During the education level "Intermediate" the trainee already works with Multicrew Operations. According to the daily work for an airline we separate between "pilot flying" and "pilot nonflying". A further differnce is the higher amount of simulator hours compared to the conventional training. As the airline participate on every stage of the syllabus and its realization the advantage of MPL lies especially in the optimal preparation for a prospective airline pilot.

How long does the training take?

The whole training takes app. 18 months.
